Baldwin Demonstrates Newspaper grade Products at IFRA Publish Asia

Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. will demonstrate products from its range of cost-effective Newspaper Grade solutions - designed specifically to increase production and environmental efficiency of newspaper printing presses - at Ifra's Publish Asia exhibition, Kuala Lumpur. Visitors will see live demonstrations of IMPACT® Global automatic blanket cleaning system and LithoSpray™ automatic spray dampening system, including the new Constant C internal cleaning system.
From the automated cleaning range of products, IMPACT® Global is the most environmentally-sound automatic blanket cleaning technology available today.

The self-contained IMPACT® Global system includes compact washing bars, control cabinets with operator's display and PREPAC® supply rolls. The PREPAC® wash cloth rolls contain the precise amount of environmentally-friendly low VOC cleaning agent needed, so virtually eliminating solvent handling. Ink and paper dust residues are retained in the rolls after cleaning and the absence of complex operating software makes IMPACT® Global an easy to use, low maintenance and efficient cleaning system.

Designed for high performance and reliability, LithoSpray™ is from Baldwin's range of newspaper press fountain solution, temperature control and mixing systems. It has patented valves, which allow a higher spraying cycle frequency, delivery of exact amounts of water volumes and uniform dampening of the plate cylinder, making it the most precise spray dampening system in the world. Due to the short reaction time, the required dampening level is reached quickly and start-up waste, as well as fountain solution and energy, is reduced. The fully enclosed, automatic and contact-less system increases productivity for printers and offers fast return on investment.

LithoSpray's most recent enhancement - Constant C - is the first internal cleaning system of its kind in the world. It provides a gentle air curtain over the front of the spray nozzles, thus keeping them free from blockage by ink and dust and maintaining uniform water spray. The elimination of the nozzle clogging and the even water distribution ensure consistently high print quality and significantly reduce maintenance requirements of the dampening system.

IMPACT® , LithoSpray™ and Constant C can all be retrofitted on existing presses or installed on new equipment. Additionally, interactive multimedia product presentations with 3-D animations will feature Baldwin's market-leading systems and technologies at the exhibition.
