If almost everything on modern rotary presses is remotely adjustable, then it makes little sense to send the printer up onto the superstructure of the folder to set the soften head positions. Using the UV soft guide, the printer can clearly tell from the delivery under the UV lamp, where the softening line is located and can adjust this sideways. The adjustment path is tuned to machine requirements and the printer needs to change the head position manually.
